Carnival Cruises is branching out into the movie industry, with the Carnival Dream taking a starring role in the latest Alvin and the Chipmunks movie- 'Chipwrecked.'

The ship, based in Port Carnaveral, served as a setting for portions of the movie- mainly it's open decks and recreation areas, where the chipmunks get up to all sorts of mischeif. Some ports on the ship's itinerary also featured in the movie. The movie is a great bit of advertising for Carnival- allowing it to showcase it's newest ship and market a cruise holiday to a family demographic through this ever-popular movie franchise.
